Cryoseismology is the study of Glaciers and Ice Sheets through active and passive seismology. Active-source seismic surveys have been used extensively to understand glacier bed topography, along with englacial and subglacial material properties. Passive-source seismology has recently grown as a tool for monitoring ice sheet hydrology, basal slip-stick events and iceberg calving and motion. [1]
