A short Biography

I was born June 30, 1961 in Columbus Ohio, after which my famiy moved to several places in the northeast including Pennsylvania, New York and Massachusetts. I became fascinated by any topic in the earth sciences in middle school as a result of a phenomenal earth science teacher named Mr. Bozwell. I loved that class. As time went on, I accumulated several degrees culminating in a Ph.D. in Geological Sciences from the University of California, Riverside. I then spent the next 13 years at the California Institute of Technology doing scientific programming and a smattering of GIS and geology. Following Caltech, I worked at The Aerospace Corporation in El Segundo, California and then Esri in Redlands California. In June, 2015, I accepted a position at Sandia National Laboratories where I am today. I live with my spouse, two pups and a small army of cats in Rio Rancho, New Mexico.
