Glenn S. Sasagawa, Wayne C. Crawford, Ola Eiken, Scott Nooner, Torkjell Stenvold, and Mark A. Zumberge received the 2003 SEG Best Paper in Geophysics Award for their paper A new sea-floor gravimiter. [1]

Biography 2003 [2]

Ola Eiken received a graduate degree (1981) and a PhD (1990) in geophysics from the University of Bergen, Norway. he worked with seismic exploration in arctic Norway as a researcher for the University of Bergen. From 1998 to 1990 he had a visiting scholarship at Bundesanstalt fur Geowissenschaften und Rohstoffe in Hanover, Germany. Since 1991 he has been employed by Statoil, where, for the past six years, he has worked on geophysical reservoir monitoring at the research center in Trondheim. He is a member of SEG, EAGE, and NGF.
