Biography 2011 
Nikolai Rykhlinski received a masters degree (1961) in physics at the Irkutsk State University and a Ph.D. (1969) in engineering at the Novosibirsk State University. He worked on resistivity logging and the land/marine electromagnetic survey at the state enterprise “IrkutskGeophysika,” Irkutsk, from 1961 to 1979, and from 1991 to 1998; at the Union Research Institute for Oil and Geological Survey, Moscow, from 1979 to 1991; for the Central Geophysical Expedition, Moscow, from 1999 to 2003; and for the TimeZYX group since 2003. He has been a research director of the Institute of Innovative Methods of Geophysics, Moscow, since 2003. He has published a book and more than 25 papers on geophysical research and development and has authored more than 40 Russian and international patents related to hydrocarbon exploration.
