Musa Doctor Manzi
Biography 2012
Musa S. D. Manzi received a B.S. (2007) in physics and math and a B.S. (2008) in geophysics from the University of Witwatersrand, where he is currently a Ph.D. candidate. He previously worked for a physics department at High Pressure Lab as a research assistant. His research interests include 3D modeling and structural interpretation of 3D seismic data set for the mineral industries; he rapidly compiles, integrates, and extracts the critical information from a range of data sets at a range of scales for the robust definition of fault networks.[1]
Best Paper in Geophysics 2012
Musa S. D. Manzi received the 2012 Best Paper in Geophysics Award, with Raymond Durrheim, Kim A. A. Hein, and Nick King for their paper: 3D edge detection seismic attributes used to map potential conduits for water and methane in deep gold mines in the Witwatersrand basin, South Africa[2]
