2008 Honorable Mention (Geophysics)

Andrey Bakulin, Alexander Sidorov, Boris Kashtan, and Mikko Jaaskelainen received 2008 [[Honorable Mention (Geophysics)] for their paper Real-time completion monitoring with acoustic waves.[1]


2008 Biography[2]

Mikko Jaaskelainen received a master of science degree (1993) in electrical engineering from Lund University in Sweden and is a senior research engineer (optics) at Bellaire Technology Center. He has 12 years of experience in developing fiber-optic systems for telecommunications and sensing in oil and gas exploration and production. The last five years have been with Shell, work- ing on fiber-optic technology development for downhole sensing applications.
