Biography 2000 [1]

'Luca Bertelli received a degree (1983) in geology from the University of Florence. He joined AGIP in 1984 in the seismic data processing department where he worked as a seismic data processing analyst. In 1987 he was appointed technical leader for 3-D acquisition and processing activities. In 1989 he was project manager of 3-D seismic operations. During 1992 he was appointed manager of R&D projects for exploration an in 1994 manager for seismic stratigraphy and borehole seismic department. Since 1994 he has been in charge of technical advising and a member of the coordination committee of Italian NVR Seismic Crustal Programme (CROP Project). He is the author of publications on Italian seismic while drilling. In 1999 he was appointed general manager of the geological and geophysical corporate services department at ENI H.Q. in Milan.

Honorable Mention (Geophysics) 2000

Flavio Poletto, Fabio L. Rocca, and Luca Bertelli received 2000 Honorable Mention (Geophysics) for their paper Drill-bit signal separation for RVSP using statistical independence.[2]
