Honorable Mention (Geophysics) 2006
Gamal Abdel Aal, Lee Slater, and Estella Atekwana received 2006 Honorable Mention (Geophysics) for their paper Induced polarization measurements on unconsolidated sediments from a site of active hydrocarbon biodegradation.[1]
Biography 2006[2]
Lee Slater received a Ph.D. in hydrogeology and geophysics from Lancaster University, U. K. He has been an assistant professor in the Department of Geosciences, University of Missouri–Kansas City. He is an associate professor of near-surface geophysics in the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences at Rutgers University, Newark, New Jersey. His research interests include low-frequency electrical properties of near-surface sediments, peatland/wetland geophysics, hydrogeophysics, and biogeophysics.
