John A. Quirein received a PhD (1973) in mathematics from the University of Houston. He has worked for Schlumberger and Mobil. He is currently a senior technical advisor for Haliburton Energy Services in the reservoir applications department. His research interests include well log statistical based interpretation, neural networks, seismic attributes, and seismic assisted reservoir characterization.
