Jan Thorbecke

Jan Thorbecke received an M.S. (1991) and a Ph.D. (1997) in geophysics from Delft University of Technology. From 1996 to 2001, he worked for Cray/SGI as a geophysical application engineer. From 2001 to 2002, he worked for Jason Geosystems, and since 2002, he works for HPE-Cray as an application analyst (0.8) and senior researcher at Delft University of Technology (0.2). His research interests include one-way wavefield extrapolation, wavefield modeling, Marchenko methods, MDD and efficient algorithm design and implementation on supercomputers.
