SEG Best Paper in Geophysics Award 1972

G. G. Walton received the SEG Best Paper in Geophysics Award for his paper Three-dimensional seismic method.[1]

Biography

George G. Walton received an A.B. degree in Geology from DePauw University in 1933. Since 1934 he has been employed by the Carter Oil Company. He spent some years in foreign work as computer and party chief working in Hungary, Roumania, Peru and France. He is now located in the Carter Tulsa offices as a senior geophysicist. Mr. Walton is a member of the Tulsa Geophysical Society and the Society of Exploration Geophysicists.
