Vibroseis sweep where source varies as


A(t) being the time-dependent factor that produces the tapering. Most vibroseis sweeps are tapered for 100-200 ms at the start and end of the sweep to make it easier on the equipment and to avoid the undesirable effects of a sharp start or stop discontinuity. Compare nonlinear sweep.
