1. Well logs that depend on electrical resistivity: normal, lateral, laterolog, and induction logs (q.v.). Most resistivity logs derive their readings from 10 to 100 ft3 of material about the sonde. Microresistivity logs (q.v.), on the other hand, derive their reading from a few cubic inches of material near the borehole wall. See Figure D-8. 2. Records of surface resistivity methods (q.v.).
