The expression of the mutual frequency properties of two time functions or series. The cross-spectrum is in general a complex-valued function and hence involves a pair of real relationships; such as the amplitude and phase as functions of frequency. The real part of the cross-spectrum is also called the cospectrum and the imaginary part the quadrature spectrum.
