Dennis Corrigan received his Ph.D. in physics from the University of Colorado in 1968. After spending several years in academic physics, he joined Texaco Inc. in 1974 and worked on a variety of areas in seismic data processing. Since 1979, he has been working at the ARCO Exploration Research Department where he is presently a senior research advisor. The focus of his current activities is the application of multicomponent seismology to exploration geophysics.[1]

  • Honorable Mention (Geophysics) 1990: B. S. Byun and D. Corrigan received 1990 Honorable Mention (Geophysics) for their paper Seismic traveltime inversion for transverse isotropy.[2]
  • SEG Special Commendation 2016: Dennis Corrigan is awarded the Special Commendation for his contributions as a research leader in the 1980s at the ARCO geophysical research center in Plano, Texas. Corrigan had a profound positive impact as a collaborator and advisor to many ARCO geophysicists who have gone on to make significant professional contributions.[3]
