B. S. Byun and D. Corrigan received 1990 Honorable Mention (Geophysics) for their paper Seismic traveltime inversion for transverse isotropy.[1]

Biography 1989 [2]

Dennis Corrigan received his Ph.D. in physics from the University of Colorado in 1968. After spending several years in academic physics, he joined Texaco Inc. in 1974 and worked on a variety of areas in seismic data processing. Since 1979, he has been working at the ARCO Exploration Research Department where he is presently a senior research advisor. The focus of his current activities is the application of multicomponent seismology to exploration geophysics.
