Claude Vuillermoz
Biography
Claude A. Vuillermoz graduated from the Faculte des Sciences in Lyon. He holds an engineer degree from the French Petroleum Institute post graduate school and a Doctorate (1962) in geology from Grenoble University. His entire career has been with CGG, first in field operations as seismologist, and party chief in France, Indonesia, and Africa. He took several technical and managerial positions in processing and R&D divisions in North America, Africa, and France. He concluded his career as chief geophysicist for CGG worldwide and is now a consulting geophysicist. His research interested are in application of modern seismic to reservoir characterization particularly in the field of multi-componenets, monitoring, and inversion. He is a member of SEG and EAGE.[1]
Honorable Mention (Geophysics) 2000
Side Jin, G. Cambois, and C. Vuillermoz received 2000 Honorable Mention (Geophysics) for their paper Shear-wave velocity and density estimation from PS-wave AVO anaysis: Application to an OBS dataset set from the North Sea.[2]
