Biography 2007[1]

Børge Arntsen received M.S. (1982) and Ph.D. (1992) degrees in physics from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). He joined Statoil in 1992, where he worked as a specialist in the research department. In 2008, he was appointed as professor of geophysics at NTNU. His research interests include seismic modeling, seismic imaging, and seismic inversion.

Honorable Mention (Geophysics) 2007

Børge Arntsen, Lars Wensaas, Helge Loseth, and Christian Hermanrud received 2007 Honorable Mention (Geophysics) for their paper Seismic modeling of gas chimneys.[2]
